The classic tale was rendered numbingly boring by the dull monotonous drone of disinterest! Fortunately, I was challenged to re-read it by Andi and Heather F. at Estella's Revenge for My Year of Dangerous Reading and I discovered that the story is actually very good and not as lengthy as I'd remembered. The language of the time is a detractor but there is much to appreciate about Great Expectations, from the eccentric characters to its twisting plot. It's worth giving a try.
